You only have to cover them tyo different times in the whole seson -1st time ehen the sprout is around 20 cm long and the second time when the same proud reaches a high of around 10cm more- . We can plant hem from august to first days of december (it always depends on the wheather). Once you plant hem you can collect them 4 months later, aprox. (before floration). how long do you keep covering the onion, every week, every two weeks, once a month? What is the growing time for calcots? I'm writing to you from washington state (USA). My daughter saw it on tv and wants to eat it.
