Guru Zainal is from Penang, Malaysia.. I was lucky enough to spend about 4 or 5 days with him and his group exchanging ideas and demonstrating/sharing our Silat. Had the time of my life!!!

luke is this a thai knife fighting? he use malayan langguage >.< @all about the loose grip: I noticed him saying srikandi<<it is a female character, I guess he just show U one style only and perhaps he know another style (female style grip, I guess) . man I think he is a true master, teaching with a cigarette in one hand and unbalanced a big guy like luke in his age @.@

That guy was cool (I got a kick out of seeing the cigarette in his hand), & he was obvioiusly fluent w/ the knife. Never seen those kinds of knives before (thanks Luke & Youtube!), so that was a cool discovery. Good times, & fun to learn.

You have to learn to juggle before you can knife fight. Then you have to learn to see both close and far away at the same time and you have to be a human being who does not like sharp objects.
