I love his interpretation of this raag - w/ just an occasional hint of ma shuddh, but mostly tivra - ie, almost pure yaman. I think he's greater now than Khansaheb Vilayat Khan, bless his memory. That the son exceed the father should be seen as no offense to the accomplishments of the elder - this is a living tradition! Ah, but how I wish I'd been there!
