A laser graffiti setup at LeTourneau University using Graffiti Research Labs' "Laser Tag 2.0" software.
The setup consists of just a cheap webcam, an old projector, a laptop, and some Walmart laser pointers. If you're not familiar with how it works: the laser acts a cursor, the camera tracks it, software generates brush strokes and the projector displays it on the wall.

We were throwing the image about 30' onto a brick building with street lights nearby and a full moon overhead, and it worked remarkably well!

Details on this project will be posted at http://stevegilbertson.com

  • Hey can you send me a list of the items you used the stuff on the GRL is super expensive.

  • @mrpedog Hi! I really don't remember the details of our equipment, since it was a couple years ago... but i do know it was just "cheap" stuff we had sitting around. As stated in the description: "a cheap webcam, an old projector, a laptop, and some Walmart laser pointers". Don't stress over lumens or resolution for the projector. Mine was one i got used (worth less than $200-$300 probably) with 800x600 resolution and I think my friends' webcam was a simple Logitech. Hope that helps!
