Near-miss, hit-and-run following very poor overtaking manoeuvre.

Back in July I was very nearly involved in what could have been a nasty head-on collision on the A41 in Cheshire, UK, after a driver in a shabby '96 Audi A4 made a very poor attempt at overtaking on a blind corner, on the crest of a hill. Thanks to a good set of brakes on my car and some good defensive driving on the part of the driver of the Ford Focus being overtaken, I escaped with only a smashed wingmirror.

The driver didn't bother to stop after the collision so I turned around where I could and, with some "enthusiastic" driving, managed to eventually catch up with him to get his registration number (R719XKX) and report him to the police, who I spent 40 minutes on the phone to whilst following the Audi to Liverpool. He eventually "escaped" by cutting across three lanes of oncoming traffic into a residential area, and the car has not been seen on police ANPR cameras since that day.

The driver and passenger looked to be around 17, both with very short light hair, and didn't bother to stop after the collision. Any info on the owner of this vehicle would be much appreciated. The car was unfortunately registered to a false address...

What if you crashed into or caused a family of 6 comming back from a trip to crash and die over a fucking mirror?

@ryanishereyay123 yeah probably, our roads arent wide, but when the lanes are separated with lines its place for one car to move about in the lane, and we've got loads of woods along side close to the road. i'm from sweden btw not america. ;)

@coolakiIlen007 he's probably doing 60mph except for when he overtakes, nothing wrong with that. just because our roads aren't a mile wide, it looks faster.

I like how instead of swerving left towards the bush and avoid getting hit, you actually swerve towards him and made him hit your car.
