Forced Marriages are NOT allowed in Islam - by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr.Tahir-ul-Qadri

[ Summary of this clip -very rough translation ..mistakes errors are expected] :Forced Marriages Are not allowed in Shariat its the only right of son & daughter to like proposal(Rishta) Parents & elders 's has only akhlaqi darja (Ethical /Moral Status) in Shariat ( although in Fiqh parents can decide on behalf of there children when they are very young .but that is totally a different issue .parents should not and can not get benefit from this Fiqhi issue)
Holy Quran gives rights to children to decide there marriage in Sorah Nisa 3:4 "marry the women you like and who are lawful for you" its a exclusive right of couple to decide there marriage but do it through proper channel... through parents...under the guidelines of Shariah..under norms of modesty & sharm ..on lines of good custom .Not on lines of court marriages so that your whole family System may not destroyed.. its parents duty to get consent of children regarding marriage however at the same time they have no right to force there children but we should keep spirit of Shariah at the same time as when we will distract from it there will be our lose .
