    The pancakes and waffles are a method to categorize single syllable words. Pancakes are words with one vowel and 95% of the time, the vowel sound will be the short sound. Waffles are single syllable words with two vowels and 65% of the time the vowel sound will be long.

  • I don't think I'll be using this one. The others were less confusing for me. (I suspect that it would make more sense in the context of a class?)
