Deaf people "feel" music for sure. They do like it. It's a common misperception that they do not like music. But I'll be the first to admit that their tastes are probably different. I know that deaf people like to dance and they enjoy music with lots of bass because they can feel that beat.
Actually, there are deaf musicians. There is this one famous percussionist who is deaf. Some deaf people do have residual hearing, but they are still deaf.
Beethoven is the ultimate example of courage. He could've quit music all together. But he chose to continue and wrote some of his best symphonies after he went deaf.
