  • Nice. where did you get the recordings? One can hear his ukulele better on this and If I Had you, better than some of the recordings I have heard.

  • Cliff Edwards recorded these sessions in 1943 when he was 48 years old. The recording techniques had improved considerably since his earlier recordings. The CD's are freely available on the Internet. What a great, great singer and player!

  • This is just perfect. His voice, the uke, Berlin lyrics - I just love this!

  • This sounds ahead of it's time in style and singing. VERY good!

  • What a voice!

  • What a gentle, lovely recording. Perfect voice for this sentimental classic. A favourite.

    Thanks for this.

  • Gosh. So gorgeous...

  • @kavadale at 1:31 he's next to Buster Keaton. :) But I was wrong about the 1:15 one.

  • @imaginepeace77 nope, it's ukulele ike

  • that was magical.

its amazing how in some of his pictures, he looks so so much like Jiminy. The artists knew what they were doing, alright.

  • The first picture I think is Mary Kornman from the early our gang series.
