  • Great video, I assume its transferring the low res jpeg and now the 12mb raw that quickly! Works well with a camera such as the D300s with 2 card slots, would this work well on location, if you have to use a different wifi connection?

  • @lg123xyz yes, this works great in the D300s. The 4GB Connect X2 Eye-Fi card does not support RAW. I was actually shooting at Large & Fine... so approximately 5MB files were transferring very well within about 2-3 seconds at most.

You have to have the Eye-Fi Helper App installed on the computer as a host location, so it would be inconvenient to bring this setup with you on location. I use it strictly for my home studio which I know will always connect.

    Hope that helps.

  • dude us that the nex 5? when did you get it? sick video good stuff...

  • @iceheat09... ya, this is the Sony NEX-5 w/ 18-55mm kit lens. The video is 100% unedited MP4 format. AVCHD is just too much work, plus I have limited video editing software. I was just testing it out actually. I've yet to pull the trigger on this one. I think I want it with the 16mm ƒ/2.8 lens.

  • How much r the equipment...

  • what about using the ipad as a field monitor in video mode??

  • can the nex5 tethered to the ipad?

  • which camera??

  • Very great video! I wish this could be used outdoors like with the Samsung Tablet. What can apple do to make this more of a FTP than wi fi. I print outdoors in the park but there isn't any wi fi. i guess maybe iPad 3 will have the capabilities.

    Great video and I subscribed.

  • Can you continue to shoot images an dthey will upload to the iPad in the background?

Also, do the images remain on the camera so they can later be wirelessly uploaded to a laptop where the Eye-Fi was previously set up?

  • hey man, what about the wireless network?. will be usefull also if you show the setup of the eye-fi on the nikon.

  • Very good video

  • @morrod Have you tried using the iPhone (jailbroken) and MyWi and then connecting the iPad and Eye-wi to the iPhones network to see if this setup would work on location?
