Yes deception abounds even now. Vatican pushes for Sun laws in EU of course (they create false dialectics) but more importantly the Apostles' Jerusalem council declared by the Spirit that we need not be burdened observing any days (Sun or Sat) -Acts15.24-31

Christ warned repeatedly to not be deceived when asked of the time of his return. He gave clues to what law would be enforced when Antichrist desecrates a new temple:

"pray your flight be not in winter neither the Sabbath day" -Mat 24.15-21

@Myhopeisinhim As Deu. 31:24-27 shows, it's not God's Law that was performed because of sin. God's Law identifies sin; it is the mirror that shows the imperfections.  The Mosaic law wasn't given until Mt. Sinai because God wanted to prepare a people for the coming of Jesus! The entire Sanctuary of the OT points to Jesus and the Christian walk of today! We don't become obedient to justify ourselves; it is out of Love for God and for our neighbor. We faithfully obey.

@Myhopeisinhim The law of Moses revealed sin? How? If so, just how was sin committed BEFORE the Mosaic law? Was it not carried out BECAUSE of committing sin? Col. 2 mentions the handwriting of requirements, which was nailed to the Cross, yes? *Now read Deuteronomy 31:24-27 - Moses instructed them to place HIS law on the side of the Ark, but, the Law of God was INSIDE the Ark. These are indeed 2 separate laws. Without a law, there can be no sin (Rom. 4:15).

The law of God was contrary to us because it was everything we are not. It was holy, we were unholy..it is perfect, we are not. It showed us how far that we have fallen away from him. It was a witness against us. Like what a witness in court does, it points out all our faults to God, and shows that we are guilty.

Thus when Jesus took all our sins into his own body, he removed that witness, cancelling it so to speak so that there was nothing standing between us and God.

The law of Moses is called the law of God numerous times in the scriptures:

Neh 8:1/9:3/8:18, 1 Chronicles 16:40, 2 chronicles 34:14, Luke 2:23, 24 and 39....

This law was given to reveal sin unto the people, and show them their guilt before God and as such, Jesus dealt with sin on the cross, carrying any and all sin on the cross cancelling the debt we owed to God.

@Myhopeisinhim The laws that you speak of pertaining to the Sabbath are associated specifically with the Mosaic Law, not God's Eternal moral Law. The Mosaic law is the law that was "nailed to the Cross" and was "the handwriting of requirements that was contrary to us" (Colossians 2:13-17). Since Jesus fulfilled the Mosaic law specifically, we are still left with God's moral Law, His 10 Commandments. God's chosen people love Him so much that they desire to Keep His Commandments.
