Liz got away with all of this totally unacceptable behavior because Larry and the rest of the hosts of shows she appeared on ALLOWED her to. As for "why" they were afraid to tell her to not interrupt others, to be quiet, to be respectful (or, as we've seen on Fox when a guest continually talks over others, to "shut the mic off"), my guess is the network bosses, the corporate kings of the media, would have had their heads.
