  • Yo johnny i'm proud of you i'mma let you finish but GEORGE HEARN WAS THE BEST SWEENEY TODD OF ALL TIME

  • @rockinandmockin Why can't they both be Sweeny Todd? I love art, and to me that includes both film and theatre. They are not mutually exclusive, just two different interpretations of Sweeny Todd, both artistic relevant.

  • this is perfection .. and i must say that i ( and a number of my friends ) are sick to death of the whole burton/depp/carter mess .. burton took something beautiful and brilliant and turned it into a gore-fest cartoon..he screwed up Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as well so i wish he would just stick to original writing/directing and keep his hands of classic pieces of art

  • @rockinandmockin damn straight sir!

  • I don't like Mrs. Lovett...

    1) Her voice is annoying as fuck

    2) She is too much of an over-actor.

    3) She just looks funny...

  • Umm... I think that both of them are good, the film and the play. I mean, the play is performed live, so they'd have to be animated and a bit exaggerated (sort of) so that the audience can feel like they're really there, you know? But a movie's different. Burton presented life and the characters in all their dreariness, because if it had actually taken place, that's probably the way the characters would have been. Depp and Carter's insanity feels more... natural, to me. But the play is more fun.

  • Shame they didn't do the longer version in the film. This is an amazing song.

  • nooooo i actually love this version its AMAZING!!!!

  • You can hear the audience laughing. This is probably the best part of the broadway play, and they didn't do it quite right in the movie because it wasn't as active and energetic.

  • @TheBibleWitness *Artistically* relevant, I mean.
