This is just a quick video of a retaining wall I scratch built for my Dad's layout. The base material is 3/4" birch plywood, the arches are made from 1/4" masonite. The arches were glued to the 3/4 backer, then a brick patterned styrene was cut to fit and glued to the front. A dark brick red color was painted on the a few washes of grimy black and concrete were applied to add more depthe and the mortar lines. I thought the mortar line turned out to pronounced so I did another wash of the red brock color and it settled everything down nicely. There are 3 sections. two 2' long and one 3-1/2' long. It will line the back edge of the main yard on the layout.
