THE PERFECT COUPLE

Karthik Sivakumar son of Kollywod - Tamil Cinema's Vetaran Actor Sivakumar's younger son Karthi Sivakumar ties managalasutra to share his life with Ranjani Karthi a English Literature Student of Chennai Stella Marry's College. The marriage was arranged by his family and the Muhurtham took place at Codissia Trade Fair Complex, which is Asia's largest Trade fair complex located in Manchester of South India The Textile City "Coimbatore", Tamilnadu - India.

Karthi Sivakumar's elder brother Versatile Actor Surya (Saravanan) Sivakumar married well known Actress Jothika (Jo) in 2006 and the star couple gave birth to Diya.

All roads led to CODISSIA Trade Complex in Coimbatore for the wedding of actor Karthi with Ranjini. Despite the early muhurtham, the hall remained jam-packed with family and friends from the film fraternity. The grand wedding of K'town got off to a chanting of traditional texts that welcomed the guests.
The bride Ranjini and groom Karthi arrived at the CODISSIA Trade complex along with their family members. The venue was turned into a palatial theme in oval shape by art director D Chandirrasekar. "I have chosen the Greek style to complete the olive green-dull gold look inspired by the wedding card," says the art director.
With handcrafted pillars decorated with a variety of flowers ranging from orchids, anthuriums, lilies and carnations that came from Bangalore, Chennai, Ooty and Mumbai, the ceiling and the walls that were adorned with off-white draperies made using fabrics from Surat, garlands embellished with rose and jasmine petals used as adornments on various parts of the stage, the venue set a perfect wedding paradise for the couple.
The wedding was conducted in complete accordance with Tamil tradition, and with no influence of north Indian marriage rituals. One of the unique rituals was the Kulam Kodaradhu, which is part of the Gounder tradition. This involves the uncle (mama) of the bride and the groom's aunt (athai) holding umbrellas for the couples respectively. The couple then offers its prayers.
Clad in white veshti and shirt, the father and sons — Sivakumar, Suriya and Karthi kept simple yet traditional. Suriya was seen mostly on the dais co-ordinating various activities, inviting guests and families.
The bride Ranjini looked radiant in a rich Sandalwood coloured sari ornamented with brocade designs. Though she was not decked with rows of jewellery, few traditional neckpiece and jumkas added to her look.
Jyothika arrived a few hours later in a golden saree with white sequined embroidery worth about Rs 30,000. As always, she looked simple and elegant with just a peacock pendant and matching earrings to compliment her look. Though the wedding was not really a star-studded affair, a few close friends of veteran actor Sivakumar graced the wedding to wish Karthi-Ranjini on their big day.
Director KS Ravikumar, Radika Sarath Kumar, Pandiarajan, actor Prabhu Ganesan, Nizhalgal Ravi, cinematographer Ravi K Chandran and Solomon Papaiyya were present. The other guests were director Bala, actor Nanda, director Lingusamy, actor Kartik Kumar and his wife Suchitra, director Hari and lyricist Arivumathi.
