Early 16mm footage taken in 1930 on a trip to Jasper, Alberta, near the British Columbia border. This shows the hike up to the Angel Glacier, then considered by amateur travellers to be a wilderness adventure the family could enjoy....
This is 16mm footage of a day hike taken by Peter Ewart and his father, Clarence, up to the Angel Glacier, Mount Edith Cavell, near Jasper. The stop was part of the "Triangle Tour" which had begun on a CNR train from Edmonton to the Port of Prince Rupert. Then it had continued by ferry down the B.C. coast's Inside Passage, and then by train again to Jasper.
