Basically we just had to pay the tax - usually worked out about £30 for a return flight on most routes. Don't know what it's like now as I left in 2009.

These things happen sometimes - can't change it so just have to accept it. I really miss the cheap staff travel tickets though; used to go abroad at least once a month for a couple of days. Sometimes just went down to Barcelona or Palma for a day to do shopping and have lunch!
