Myrna Smith, Elvis' Backing Singer- Interview 2002

An interview with the lovely Myrna Smith- one of Elvis' backing singers for over 1000 concerts.
In 2005 I had the honour of meeting Myrna at the Half Moon Club, London where she and the other Sweet Inspirations did an amazing show with ETA legend Kraig Parker.
I met her before the show and could'nt believe I was meeting THE Myrna Smith! I happened to mention to her that she looks a lot like my wife; then at the end of the night, Myrna saw me leaving and she called out after me "Bring your wife next time!"
The Sweet Inspirations toured with Elvis for 8 years, recorded with him and they were also the warm-up act who opened his shows.
They sang with him throughout all of his record-breaking Las Vegas residencies and they were with him on January 14 1973 for the ALOHA FROM HAWAII concert- the biggest concert of Elvis' life which was watched Live around the world by 1.5 Billion people.
