john mayer - neon cover

my fifth vid. i play it a little differently from others i've seen - use 4 fingers throughout the song instead of just my thumb & pointer, but it works for me! i hope you enjoy!

no, not stomping. i'm using my thumb to slap the low E string for the most part.

you should learn how to read tab, it's much easier than learning how to read music notes. start by googling "guitar tab lesson". there should be some good sights that come up. then download the tab from the link in my comments section of the song and go from there. good luck!

well done but it's not how john mayer plays it.

he only uses thumb and index finger on the right hand and always uses his thumb on the left hand for the lower c-string.

there a long discussion in a john mayer forum and i think they're right.

i actually started learning this song from his CD recordings so i didn't realize how he actually played it until way later... i just figured he used all fingers to play it. thanks for the comment!
