Timecode hasn't worked in any release of Traktor Scratch and I'm just tired of it. I've worked with NI on multiple versions, I've updated my Zero4 firmware with every new release, and it won't work.

I'm currently working with Zero4 firmware v1.6 and Traktor Scratch v1.3. Here's my video, I'm hoping it generates some sort of info, help, whatever... I sure need it.

  • hey man I had the same problem with mine. I had to get a update from microsoft for the firewire settings in SP2 the settings are wrong. there is a link on the korg web-site but if you update traktor scratch to 1.3.0 it does it again the only way to keep it working is not to update traktor until korg bring out a new update.

  • I was finally able to get in touch with NI and found that scratch v1.3 is the problem. It took this video and multiple forum posts to get them to admit it though...

For anyone considering this setup, STAY AWAY. Get an Audio8 and don't try to use the Zero4/8 or Mackie 'certified' mixers with the TS upgrade kit.

  • man im having the same problem as you. I havent updated yet to 1.3 im still running 1.0 and ave my firmware updated to 1.6 on my Zero 4. BUt Trakor cannot pick up my CDJ's, it keeps saying unknown device and doesnt pick up any signal. Please help. Any feedback would be great.

  • I have tried every version of Traktor Scratch and had the same problem. v1.2 worked a couple times, but not reliably. I have spoken with Vangelis Vargas at NI customer support several times and he tells me that v1.3.1 is coming out next week to fix the problem. Give him a call, he can give you the info and get you the update! Reach him at (323) 467-2693 if you're in the US.

  • I had the same problem, untill I updated my korg to 1.50. Now it's working very good here.

  • shit i just go tmy korg zero4 and upgraded to 1.6 too and been having the SAME problem dude..i was going nuts! ill check the NI site for the upgrade

  • THanks man im actually in INdia. But i did manage to get it working. The problem I was facing with my Macbook pro was it wasnt recieving a input signal on my Firwire. But after I updated the software on my mac and firmware on my Korg I was able to get the Firewire to send a signal from the korg to the input on my mac and now everthing is running well. THe only thing I hate right now about the KORG is the headphone volume it is so low, Any solution to that?
