  • How did you decide on how big the pulleys should be for the motors? I like that feature alot.

  • Its a trade off between speed, power and accuracy. Mach3 documentation explains how to size the motors and pulleys.

  • Looks like it might be the 44142-2VGA model now at HF. what kind of accuracy are you achieving?

  • Since this vid I replaced the x drive with a real ballscrew; its now within 0.002 Y and 0.005 X The biggest problem is having to raise work so high, the Z cannot be lowered and as the Z extends (goes 4") it has more side to side play, so its better to raise job as high as possible. Hope to put up some better vids soon, it has made some very nice steel parts I could not have made manually.
