the Sad truth is while a lot of us crave peace, more and more people just crave money and the power that comes with it. We'll i'd like to see them try and use all their connections and spend their money in hell. Cause when the earth gives out, our souls got to go somewhere

@death9719 Except that's not what happened at all. All unions do is shut down profitable businesses, suck money from the people, and cause workers to be lazy and complacent, reducing competition and stagnating the economy. They won no "freedoms".

@olympian15 unions gave birth to the middle class. democratically run groups many of whom were communist. of course as they won us more freedoms they lost appeal so they became victims of there own success.

@death9719 The middle class was brought into existence by capitalism. But on the song being good, we can agree.

@olympian15 the middle class is relatively new only came into existance after WW2 before that you starved or were rich, do yo know what Matewan was look it up. it would not have happened if capitalism worked. i am not a communist anymore i have become a spontaneous associationist anarchist without adjectives with some Mutualist elements. great song though.

@death9719 They are not perfect, and obviously some people are more powerful and wealthy than others. However, the wealth is injected into the economy, and everyone, not just the rich and powerful, benefits. And actually, communism essentially ceased to properly exist when the USSR fell. What remains are vestiges. And aren't you into anarcho-socialsim, not communism?

@death9719 Business creates wealth, creates a middle class, decreases poverty, and increases living standards significantly. Taxes are necessary, they allow the state to run. In a socialist, communist, or anarchic system, living standards are deplorable, or unsustainable. Also, in communism or socialism, what the state does instead is take EVERYTHING from it's citizens, with way more taxes, not being allowed to own virtually anything for yourself; etc. These systems don't even close to work.
