Arpaio Raids 'El Gran Mercado' in Phoenix

September 6, 2009 -- KNXV-TV - Phoenix [WARNING! Contains footage of raving open-borders zealot] // Last nights raid at the El Gran Mercado, in Phoenix, Arizona resulted in 33 people arrested. Sheriff Joe Arpaio said to local reporters he had a tip vendors at this mercado were breaking the law selling counterfeit DVDs and CDs. The movies found at the site are the same just released to the Home Box Office while hundreds of copies were confiscated.

Arpaio said investigators in the recording industry asked for his help. Some of the vendors are also suspected of being in the country illegally. Another sweep is planned in Phoenix Sunday night.
