The worty doctor and the lawyer keep talking about 'weapons' - these FIREARMS are used for sporting purposes, NOT as weapons - weapons are used by the military for the purpose of waging war.

Higher gun ownership is good, the thing so many people don't get is if you want an ak47 even if its illegal you can get the gun illegally off the black market

I think if the gangs can import 1 tonne of cocaine on a fishing trawler , they can smuggle a few guns aswell so it doesnt matter about legally held firearms, I guarentee if there were no legally held firearms here there would be just as many shootings !

every weapon has the potential to be dangerous in the wrong hands no matter if it is a 9mm or a beret .50 cal sniper rifle or what ever a bullet is a bullet they all travel at ridiculous speed does it matter what gun shoots you if it hits you in the head or heart???

Why can't the authorities target the criminal gangs who illegally hold firearms to be used in crimes. Leave the target shooters to their sport - they are the good guys.

Parts of this Prime Time repost were so factually incorrect it's unbelieveable. I am writing to the Broadcasting Complaints Comission. It was editorally biased against legally held firearms, it was sensonalist, it was utter tabloid gutter press.
