ok youre method is pretty good although you have made the challenge much more complex then it should be. (try making one but have the mouth piece already attached to the ocarina it makes it a lot easyer)

What clay did you use, and did you need to put it in a kiln?

it's funny to see what the subtitles say

wow i cant even position the mouth pice to make sound in trying but every time i do it its ether too high up or to low .. lol the closest i got was a low squily sound
Hey jimenezlee, I was using the same site and same method, however when it came time to attach the mouthpiece, I couldn't keep it in the right position while attaching the slip. I could only keep it in the right position when playing it (But playing an ocarina in two parts is not what I had in mind) I tried keeping my slot stick in the piece and tried to keep it lined up with the lip, but by the time it was attached, the tune had gone and only came back after I removed it and held it in place.

@Fragacide, Slip is a watery mix of clay and water. It should have just enough clay to help you stick the pieces together, but be very runny. To attach the mouthpiece, scratch and wet the edges with the slip, then bring the mouth piece to the ocarina opening, and start securing with a thin round piece of clay around the gaps. At this point test that it still plays like you want and adjust; start applying more slip on the added clay to wet and soften and start smoothing.

Guys, sorry I didn't respond before, yes, this is ceramic from the local ceramic shop where you can make shapes and stuff. I don't really know what kind it is, but I told them what I wanted to do with it and that I was going to use slip to glue the pieces back to gether etc. and that I wanted to minimize shrinkage when firing, they recommended which to use.
