So this is why you could not buy the large format kindle outside the US. They want us to have our cash ready for this. I cannot wait. I will be buying this when it comes out.
The price difference wil mean it does not have to be as "good " as Ipad.
Frankly I am v. old and have no need at all for 99.9% of apps. Youtube, movies music, and kindle will do me fine. If it works as smoothly and clearly as the ipad
its a winner for me.

@melllv It looks like the price point is going to be competitive with the Nook, at about $250 for a 7" screen device. I think it's a great niche for them, targeting people who want a simple web/content consumption device without having to shell out $600 for one.
