One of two singles from the Irish shoegazers debut album, Lughnasa, released on Flute Records in 1993, but later withdrawn from the market because of "contractual problems". Lughnasa is quickly gaining status as one of the lost treasures within the genre not the least because it was pulled by the label but also because it's a friggin brilliant album of explosive, ethereal pop music, not unlike classic shoegazer acts like Lush, Cocteau Twins and My Bloody Valentine. The voice in Chimera belongs to one Eileen Henry. Chimera recorded and released a follow up to Lughnasa in 1996, titled Earth Loop. It had some limited success with alternative radio stations in America. After that, the band simply disappeared and nothing has been heard from it since.

i am so glad i bought the 2 cd singles and the album when they came out, so so criminally ignored thanks to the attention being lavished on the inferior Cranberries at the time
