I was checking out my Dahlias I had over-wintered when I found this - a leatherjacket.

  • I don't tend to bring mine in as the heat of a house with central heating can really dry them out. I just pack them well with soil and place in a cold frame for the winter. That seems to do the trick.

  • I never could winter dahlia tubers inside. They would always dry out and die, or they would rot. I just grew them from seed, and then let the winter kill them after a few years. I love Dahlias, they are one of my favorite flowers.
