It's so good for you that you found the courage to be open with your father and that the results are better than you'd expected.
But as you said there is still a long way to go. They are still holding and expressing views that are hurtful to you. If they have a "right" to be disappointed, you also have a "right" to want understanding and support. Censoring and repressing your completely legitimate feelings won't do them any favors; it will just keep them from knowing you.

yeah in most cases, i am very reserved in most aspects but people may think i am "antisocial" but they Misunderstand where i am coming from, but we are who we are :D

Hey boo, I am glad your doing ok. I am proud of you for taking the first step by coming out to your father that took a lot and I know that heavy burden was lifted. Thats all we ask for is to be accepted. Thanksgiving was awesome here, I cooked near bout everything. Ahh the private messages, just ignore them doctors that want to diagnose you, ain't nothing wrong with you, you are YOU and thats it. I will be praying for you, you know I will.
