Nicks POV

October 15th
N.S. Central Hospital ; 1:42 pm

"Okay yeah sure where is she?"
The pink nurse made the 'follow me' hand movement and started walking.
She took me to the fourth floor, and dropped me off at room 4005.
I ran in and straight by her side.

"Are you okay?" I asked brushing the hair from her eyes.
"Fine , fine I'm fine" she said swatting away my hand. "How did you get me here so fast?"
"Charlotte was already in her car ready to leave.. so I just kinda--"
"Wait .. who?" she said cutting me off.
"Charlotte..." I said a bit confused.
"Of course" she mumbled under her breath.
"Why..?" I was still confused.
"No reason.. go on"
"Yeah.. so anyway, I told her to keep the car running because it would only take a second, but when I came in--"
"What would only take a second" she cut me off again.
"Talking to you..." I sidetracked, I didn't need to mention my coming there to get rejected.
She sighed, and shook her head "Rejection hurts..."
"Wait.." I choked out "Howd you know?"
She bit her lip "It just made sense."
"Oh.. okay" My head hung. "Anyway..." I tried to go on.
She took a deep breath, obviously feeling a bit guilty for crushing me.
"Anyway.. when I came in... you were on stage..."
"Hold on one second!" she interrupted again.
"Whaaaaat?" I said aggravated from finally knowing the truth.
"You heard me sing..?" she said looking down.
"Oh.. yeah" I looked down too, thinking about her voice just added to the sting of rejection. "Your amazing.."
She sighed "Thanks.. I guess"
Compliments from me probably didn't mean anything to her...
"Anyway... so you.." I flinched "sang, then that red headed harpy told you to leave the stage--"
"Do I get to meet her?" she cut me off yet again.
"Wait.. who?" her question didn't make any sense, she obviously wasn't listening..
"Charlotte.." she looked up at me with the same expression as she wore on the stage. Brimmed with tears.
"Uh.. if you'd like.."
"Well.. that's good" she smiled but it didn't touch her eyes.
"Anyway.. long story short... I was worried out of my mind..."
She smiled again, more genuinely this time, then sunk down in her hospital bed.
"You can go.."
"I'll.. I'll get Char.." I said as I stood up. "She wants to meet you... while your not passed out.."
"Bring her in then.." she said, engulfed by the blue pillows.

I went back to the waiting room.
"Char?" I said looking for her.
"Here.. she okay?" Char said coming over to hug me.
"Yeah.." I sighed "Shes.... perfect"
Charlotte hugged me tighter "Did you ask?"
"Didnt have too..." the thought of that brought back the sting.
"Oh.." she sighed "Im.. I'm sorry.. I thought"
"Its not your fault Char.." I forced a smile. "She wants to meet you by the way"
She smiled back "Alright let's go"

October 15th
N.S. Central Hospital ; 2:01 pm
Anne Maries POV

As soon as he left, I relaxed, took a deep breath, and let what just happen sink in.

First off, he came to the theater and saw me sing.
Second off, he came to the theater to tell me I had no chance...
Third off, he brought his girlfriend...

Charlotte.. feh, who was she?
I crossed my arms.
The nerve he must have.. not only breaking my stupid freaking heart, but doing it with his--

At that moment they walked in.

Oh crap... shes gorgeous.
"Hi" she smiled and came to my side.
"..hi" I said a lil snobbily.
"Are you okay" she said putting a hand on my forehead.

I hated that she was so nice to me.
I hated that she was so pretty.
I hated the way he looked at her.
I hated the way she looked back.

"Im fine.." I said for about the millionth time.
"You scared the crap out of Nick you know" she smiled.
"Heh" I half smiled.
"Are you sure your okay?" she said again.
"Yes.. I'm sure"
She took the hand off my forehead and walked to Nick.

Oh hell.. they better not kiss.

"I'll leave you alone with her, kay?" she smiled.
"Thanks.." he half smiled, and she left.

"Shes.... really great Nick" I managed.
"Oh yeah Chars awesome" he smiled.
"Im.. I'm really happy for you..."
"Uhh.. thanks?" he said, being modest or.. something.
"So anyway... I'll only be here for tonight. You can go"
"No way Ame" he grinned "Your not getting rid of me"
I smiled internally.
"Okay.. Then stay"
