where can i find a version WITHOUT the guitar piercing through the lovely chords?
-
Fred Frith, from Henry Cow? >:D

I am deeply touched by the prayer played by these two amazing musicians, and how Evelyn Glennie sublimely handles her deafness as a glorification of what is possible for the human being in its best performance

les falta oscuridad para mi gusto

Magnifiques instants! Merci !

She actually *can* hear, just at a very low level that makes the normal sounds most of us hear indecipherable to her. She wrote an essay about it on her website. Still an amazing woman, who overcame a significant obstacle.

This reminds me a lot of Cluster One by Pink Floyd. Breathtaking.

FYI Glennie herself is deaf.
Amazing isn't it? That someone who cannot hear can make such great music

whomever disliked this..... they must be fully deaf bcuz how can you NOT like this???? anyone? anyone?

Where can I buy this recording??
Thank you to whoever put this video back on YouTube. "A Little Prayer" is one of my favorite pieces, and this version with Fred Frith is the best one I have ever heard.

Beautiful piece of music, so sublime, fragile and tender...
