  • ooh bin too!

  • It is gconf-editor and NOT gconfig-editor like he says in the video.

That tripped me up for about 15 seconds while I googled it.

  • I use Ubuntu Tweak to move those window buttons on the right side. Great tweak video, though.

  • Excellent!

  • @carlsontechnology do you know Zulu?

See wikipedia: Ubuntu_(philosophy) for a video with Nelson Mandela pronounce Ubuntu.

  • @martmelee It's only personal prefs. what you like. But UI-way it IS better to have them to the left. Consider where the text mostly is and where the mouse is in a window. If you use scripts that is right-left orientated, like arabic or hewbrew(sp?) text, you want have it the old way.

As usually, you can always change them as you like. But I think they will use the window bar for status information in the future, so it will be better this way.

  • this was actually stupoid, i mean putting the buttons at the left. i don't know why ubuntu guys did that..

  • you can take lucid of the title and just put ubuntu and mint.. because.. this works with all distros based on debian.... that's only if you want to..

  • ubuntu, I think you put the emPHAsis on the wrong sylABLE. Good tip though.

  • Nice, thanks.

Is there any way to move the window title to the center? I like it more that way.

And by the way, where's Shawn?
