  • Do you happen to remember the name of the music in the intro? =)

  • @Axelga2112 The song is "Bye" - Elliott Smith

  • how do you do that "value check" that you do in this video? making it temporarily grayscale to check your values? i know how to do that in photoshop, but painter is still very mysterious to me.

  • @akuarashi Just creating a new layer on top of everything, filling it with black, and setting layer option to "colorize". That way you can just turn the layer off and on quickly, whenever you want.

  • For the youtubers! Forgot earlier, but now added a link to the final art in the description so you can examine things better.

  • Hi sinix.

Do u refer to some photos while painting this or u feel the shading and know this should be?

  • @fcknfarm A couple of the drawings were photo ref, but none of the actual paintings/colorings were reffed. Faces are such a familiar everyday thing that it's not too difficult to think of any lighting scheme and have a good idea of how it will look.

  • I really enjoy to see you drawing and it's very helpful too <3

I only have one question (so far xD): Is there a shortcut to increase or decrease the light value of the current color (in photoshop, not painter : P)? I know a bunch of shortcuts, yet I could never find this one and I would like to try a cell shading look, not always those "soft shadows", but it's very slow without a short cut. Thank you!

  • i really like your drawing style reminds me of korean digital painters :D or animation Sky Blue

  • Like all your art. Cool style. Shows confidence as well.

  • thanks for saying abut phil hail i just had a look at his work *_* and its great like urs.

  • I'm subscribing to you because not only were your videos insightful but going along the journey was very inspirational. I'm not very good with digital yet(Drawing on a wacom tablet feels awkward still)but I am drawing alot to get better. If I draw enough I'll eventually get it when it comes to digital.

  • absolutely gorgeous!
