  • The first advance in steam technology in decades. Brilliant! The Model Engineer series will be a challenge to steam traditionalists. Can't wait to see a loco using this technology. Watch out IMLEC competitors.

  • The purpose of posting this engine on Youtube was to get people thinking about how they could take old technology and save energy by enhancing its capability. Using this simple approach and combining it with a microprocessor brings the so called obsolete engineering into the 21st century. The more people that think this way the better

I am pleased that we all think alike. Thanks for your comment.

  • They say genius' think alike, well I'm no genius but I thought of an electronic valve steam engine before I read or heard about this, not because of it being complex, but it being the simple solution, as less lathe and milling work is required.

With electronic valving, this makes the one cylinder steam engine viable for use with a scaled up version and could be used for renewable power generation

    Brilliant Les.

  • well done.... thank you
