The "licks" that GB plays are not his licks they are jazz licks. Many originated with horn players. There are many great jazz guitar players, GB is one of them. Bireli is fantastic...

but there is a benson taste....and nobody can cook it the same....maybe you take the same ingredients to it like GB and you try to spice it like he does but spicies are very tiny things so it's hard to find the sam ammount and on how big fire do you work on many people can or used to or just want to make the sam taste but nobody made the very same....

Bireli is considered the most natural ( and the same time unreal ) guitarrist of all time. He can simply play anything he wants. Not what he thinks the audience wants to hear.

I think so he is the one of the best musicians in Europe.He can play any musicstyles outstanding, knows perfectly his instrument,has very good ears for the music ,his tempo is great and his improvisationas are varied and always new he is a really really musician.The God bless you for your whole life Birelli!!

Why are all youtube guitar critics such idiots? So many comments here are worried about who is better , more technical, who went faster, this guy is better than this guy, no this one is best of all time, no this one is. Birelli is great. But there are hundreds alive that are great and there are even more who have passed on. This is not a sporting event.
