a noncommercial, fair use, musical/animated political cartoon parody (i.e. education via humor) of the Tea Party movement done for a graduate school class presentation on the Tea Party (which was heavily researched by the way, all images and info here are actual TeaParty photos, incidents, public comments, statistics, demographics and analysis by experts...including 11-12% of groups in TP being associated with racism...and majority of TP demographics being white, upper middle/upper class...)

So I'm not surprised that conservatives or some Tea Partiers aren't happy with the video, but while the movement is evolving, as with all populist movements

(yes, over last 20 years populist movements have typically been 'right' not 'left'...the 99percent populist movement is counter to the TP by the way and likely grew from the extreme obstructionist attitudes and some other extreme views of the TP movement...)

anyway, this is part of the TP past and present. It's FUTURE is, of course, up to the TP'ers themselves, the Republican party which has absorbed it. and of course to the citizens of the U.S. Though honestly, populist movements tend to only have a 2-7 year lifecycle. But the effects of such movements can last for decades.

Technically:
The vid was a rush job and had to do everything myself, so I apologize for some of the roughness of images, animations, etc. But I think the drawn ink cartoons turned out quite well. Cheers! :)

p.s.
(The cow stuff had to do with another class topic regarding force feeding cows corn and antibiotics because corn is not their natural food and makes them ill, as well as cow 'factories'...see Omnivore's Dilemma --book.)

All goes to show that economics and human behavior are strange, weird, and sad things.

As this was a school presentation, it is intended as such and was created in the same vein as a typical (at the time) TP group meeting -- i.e. entertainment, political parody, as was reported to be done in TP meetings. Though this one is based on verified facts, not the type of humor or parody plays that were performed by TP groups to promote their views and often meanspirited and inaccurate in form.

if you want that type of video, I'm sure you can find any number on youtube or TV. This was for academic purposes only and will likely be taken down soon anyway.
