My first attempt at posting on You Tube. These are some of the Mountain Dulcimers currently in production here at Black Hills Dulcimers. The dulcimers are made from exotic tonewoods from all over the world. We spare no expense in seeking out the rarest and most highly figured wood available. Some of the wood species shown here include. Honduran Quilted Mahogany, Macassar Ebony, California Redwood and Madagascar Rosewood. Videos of dulcimer making to follow when I learn more about video editing. The instrument I played is a Deering B-6 Banjo. The wood was obtained from Luthiers Mercantile International in Northern California.
