Aaron accelerator
the gravitational field pulls down on the steel balls causing there to
be more balls below the center of the magnet and less above its center
(In this example 5 above and 8 below) the dropped ball is accelerated
down the entire length of the tube by the magnetic field including the
three extra spaces ,then impact takes place, the energy travels down the
balls uneffected by the magnetic field transfering to the last ball, which
leaves with the extra energy of the 3 spaces. The shock and weight of all
14 balls also causes the entire stack to shift down one space resetting
the accelerator to its original state
on the down side the dropped ball is also accelerated down the entire lenght
of the tube by the gravitational field this unfortunately ends at impact .
in order for the accelerator become perpetual the bottom ball must have
enough energy to bounce back to the top of the tube
there are 4 balls hanging below the bottom of the tube by changing the
the distance of the tube to the magnet i can get 7 hanging down
(2 above center 11 below) this causes the ball to fly off much faster but
sometimes 2 balls fly off neodymium magnets and oiling the balls may get
even more speed
