How To Roast Leg Of Lamb http://howtoexpo.com/recipes/how-roast-leg-lamb-recipe-pesto Favorite boneless leg of lamb recipe. This is the best roasted leg of lamb recipe. I have tried many different lamb recipes and had to go through a few recipes that didn't work. Roasting leg of lamb is not as hard as it looks and this recipe is the one that my family and I love.

Loads of herbs and spices pesto, stuffed in the meat for extra flavor. Using a parsley, garlic, olive oil pesto and other spices for excellent flavor and presentation on your dinner table. Serve with potatoes sides dish or side dish of choice. Roasting is easy to do, and once the meat is roasted to your liking, then it should be removed from the oven and allow for it to stay covered for at least 10 to 15 minutes to rest. Then it can be carved and served. It takes 20 minutes per pound for medium well, and for well done, you would need to cook further. Left overs can be cut up and put into stews, soups, rice, sandwiches, the sky is the limit. When shopping for leg of lamb to roast, you should choose one that is without bone, and not to fatty. http://howtoexpo.com/recipes/how-roast-leg-lamb-recipe-pesto

  • I'd like to try this at home but a quick question. Can I replace the water with any other liquid?

  • @simongathuna Yes you can. You can use beef broth instead of water if you want. Give it a try and let us know about the result. We would love to hear from you. Happy thanksgiving! Enjoy!

  • yummy yummy so mouth watering but one question what is all spice can i replace it with the garam masala powder that i saw at Indian grocery store here in UK?

  • @zairt All Spice, sort of looks like pepper corn, but larger and lighter in color. The flavor of All Spice is not like Garam Masala, but I do not see why it wouldnt work. Just use it to taste. Ask your grocer if they carry All Spice, they may carry it. Love the U.K. by the way, we go there every so often. Thanks for your very nice comment and let me know how it turns out --Mariette

  • I like to have lots of 'red blood' coming out. If i was roasting a leg of lamb (possibly a bit smaller than this joint) i would only cook it for about 35 minutes and it's really pink (but obviously cooked). i know that's just a personal preference but an hour and 40 minutes seems pretty excessive.

  • @TheRealAlanPartridge Okay I agree, its way overcooked. It looks dry and chewy.

  • @TheRealAlanPartridge That's not way overcooked, that's how it should be cooked :) not like you guys do it rare medium or whatever, with blood coming out of it, that's disgusting no offense.

  • Thats way overcooked

  • @testerkhan 400 degrees for 20 minutes for each pound of meat for medium rare. for well done, cook for longer. Listen to 4:31-47.
