As a Georgia native myself, I have to say I am proud of Ray Stevens and glad he thinks the way I do, considering I was practically raised watching an old tattered VHS of Ray's videos!

There are two debt ceiling bills. The one created in the House of Representatives and one being created in the Senate. The House is ran by Republicans and the Senate is ran by Democrats. While neither bill truly addresses the outrageous Federal spending it's the Senate bill that creates a scenario that enables the debt ceiling crisis to become a non-issue through 2012. In other words the Democrats don't want it to be a factor in 2012 when Obama runs for re-election. That's their main motivation.
