i seriously hope their cd is just as good as this. i just ordered it from ebay seeing that i can't buy it anywhere here in the united states. ): they're seriously so amazing though, i love it.
Yo, why is the audience so BORED.Please guys show some love, anything, I'm dying watching those guys beat it up without any feedback from the crowd. Not even a head bob
The setup was such that everyone was seated on the floor just watching and listening carefully, taking the most they could from the experience. It suited the atmosphere. The electricity at this concert had the entire audience connected.
Having said that it does look borderline indulgent of The Middle East. But, here, audiences jus don't jump up ('less 1or2 goes first). Bet they still felt the energy, tho.
I would have been up and jigging (in the climactic parts) had I been at the front.
Mate i was there in the second row. No one was bored believe me, from the moment the band started playing to the moment they finished their set the entire room of people was in awe. This was the most intermate moment in music i have ever experienced in my life. i have been supporting these guys since the beginning. Since they played gold live at the burdekin theatre. Get your facts straight.
The original track was Gold, and Fools Gold is a cut down version. I think Gold is their best track of all. It is on an LP (no title) featuring Middle East and Sleeping in Trains, another north Queensland band, now defunct, but including Mark Myers who is now in the Middle East line-up. I got the LP, which contains 4 songs by ME and 5 by SiT, by writing to SiT on their Myspace page. I don't know if it's still available. But Gold on that album is a hundred times better than Fools Gold (IMO).
'Gold' (as far as I know) was the original recording of the song, and had that particular ending, but the main bit of the song is how it's recorded on their cd, where the song is called 'Fools Gold'...
