@britinabq That's because Bruce is a class act, all the way. He may not have been there on day one, but Bruce is a great musician and a true Beach Boy. He was the one guy who was always positive (other than a run-in with the manager in '72, which led to his sabbatical) and got along with everyone in the group and truly seemed to love all his band-mates over the years. I heard him sing this live last summer and it was solid, if not spectacular. He, as always, dedicated it Carl.
Agreed! GREAT job by Christian Love on this song. I think the world of and have great respect for Bruce Johnston, but I think there needs to be a passing of the torch. This appears to be the best alignment with Christian on lead, Bruce on his part and Randell doing Brian's part. Though, Christian MUST remember to dedicate it to the great Carl Wilson, like Bruce always has. Carl is hard to replace. He and Mike were always the strongest leads, because of their distinct and amazing vocals.
This kid deserves to be a star! He has the voice of an angel!

NO respect for Carl Wilson, Bruce sings this in his own style and dedicates it to Carl every time. Christian just soaks up the glory.

This show was by private invitation only, and it was packed with history.
Great job Suzy and Bob Pence!

Well believe it or not, I just came back from this concert at the JFK Center for the Performing Arts!
I was very honored to have attended this show with so many veterans, and the show was called the Christmas Concerty for the Troops!
Great job recording, and even better being there in history!
The Beach Boys still rock, and John Cowsills, great drummer and was an honor to hang back stage!
Thanks for a very memorable evening.

He's very good. He's not Carl and he's not a Beach Boy but its a nice rendition anyway!
