Lead singer was a bit choppy; i thought song was supposed to be more flowing.... melodic....

No, I mean the main singer, instead of for example, at the end of the song, keeping the lyrics in time with the song, they were rushed. Try to keep as close as possible to the songs timing, as it removes the atmosphere from the song if not done correctly. Other than that, the singing and harmonising was faultless.

Truly an incredible cover, my only critisism is I can help feeling the song was rushed; try holding notes for longer, and hold pauses for longer, especially at the end, and the pause after the line "With the trust of a child." Other than those minor problems, a worthy tribute to Peter Gabriel. If you have a Recorded version of the track done by the band, I would appreciate to hear from you.
