http://www.smokinghotcigarchick.com I love discovering great boutique cigars- especially when there is a passion for quality and a story to tell from the company that produces them. And this is a fabulous cigar.

The PANACEA Red is a lovely full-bodied cigar with a great balance of rich flavors. A very smooth smoke with medium strength, and no harshness at all- beautiful in construction, draw, and taste.

Flavor notes consist of pepper, caramel, molasses, earth, and coffee. I had a nice amount of pepper in the beginning with hints of sweetness, which then transitioned into tastes of molasses, earth, and coffee. At the last third of my cigar the hints of spice returned balancing out the round flavors for a nice finish.

I liked how none of the flavors were extremely dominant, they all played off each other nicely making for a smooth smoke. Definitely great on is own- would also be very nice with a dark ale or black lager. Maybe even a steak! A lot of options really, depends on your palate and what you prefer.

Visit the blog for more insights and details about this cigar- you'll want to try the experience out for yourself!

  • one question..are cigars addictive? can you "survive" a day or two without smoking a cigar? greetz

  • @JedemPoKucama Not addictive, nothing like a cigarette. Cigars are a hobby, cigarettes are a habit.

  • Great Review. and thanks for slotting in some up close pics of the band and ash etc. I love the band on this cigar! It has a very retro feel to it. Nice construction too.

  • @agentshep23 That was one of the first things that stood out to me, too, about the cigar- I love the retro feel of the band and the construction is very beautiful on this cigar.

I'm looking forward to trying more from them, they've definitely caught my attention.

  • I am assuming you have a humidor large enough to support your palate; I would dig a video showcasing your humidor.

  • I will have to do that, I'm looking at a new humidor now, too...(all of mine are full) though I already know which one I want and it is sitting at the cigar shop. May have to do a video on that alone, too- it is a beauty.

  • She seem keenly aware of the nuances of the smoke. There's a lot of brain here, gentlemen.

  • Hi! While you smoke a cigar and at the same time explain the taste, why don't you hold it with your finger tips, in this position you give the cigar's face to the camera. Hope you find my advice helpfull, anyway, will see your pretty hands.

  • I know the feeling, mine is way full, I am also looking into a cabinet type that will hold many boxes.
