  • @davo53209 I jacked my car up on the driver's side, and I would say the oil pan is in the middle of the car.

  • The oil around the ring is just motor oil from one of the containers. The oil that is pouring out is the old motor oil. The gas pump shouldn't be involved.

  • I think it fills after you screw it on and pour the oil in. Either way is ok, I think.

  • No prob, thank you for serving!

  • You're welcome, joy4ly! Glad I could help.

  • Hi Jacob!

I just used my hands and gave it a good yank, but they make oil filter wrenches. You can buy them at autozone or lowes. Just ask someone that works there. And when you use the wrench be sure to set it up so that you loosen the oil filter not tighten it because the wrench only goes one way (righty tighty, lefty loosey). Hope that helps!

  • Good stuff. Just inspired me to change the oil on my 2005 Corolla S.

  • @SHAIAz96 I agree. Purolators are the best. I wouldn't trust Fram.

  • For the first time in my life, I performed my first Oil change/Oil filter by myself, thanks to your video. Kinda messy, but I got it right. Thanks!

  • Thank you for your detailed guide on this. People like you are helping people like me save money.

  • i like it

  • @shredder06 For the Toyota Corolla, which side of the car is the oil pan located along with the drain plug? Is it located on the driver side of the car? Thank You.

  • run your engine for 5-10 minutes too thin the oil and youll get more oil out
