In German TV they talked about the problem that the telepromter from Elton was filmed by the camera team and doesn´t work. So a Manager backstage was hitting the camera boy (comment after the song).

As a former musician myself, I can say there is absolutely nothing more frustrating than a bad mix. Some idiots just don't know how music should sound. Elton John's reaction here was 100% justified; in fact, I wouldn't have blamed him for walking offstage.

@Drumrdude1973 Did you listen to the vid? The drums were too loud. They were drowning out the singer, not supporting him. You can hear him straining his voice to try to compensate. Elton wrote the music and he's performing it. I think he would know what's too loud and what's not. He's not just having a hissy fit. He's addressing the morons that don't deserve to be working with someone of his caliber.
