@shestarte I agree. i have been to shows where the girl could not wait to get undressed and FULLY naked on stage and began doing things that i know TRUE burlesque performers would say i not true to their craft. its easy to just snatch off your clothes and roll around but what about making the person use their imagination? i think alot of the girls i used to see are failed strippers masquerading as burlesque performers, and that'
s cheating everyone.

I agree, this isn't burlesque, burlesque is far more seductive, more of a tease than an in your face routine, nothing wrong with either, they both have their place ;)

i have to agree, i think burlesque is about putting on a show, or rather, being a showgirl. while i don't necessarily agree that showy props are a must, there is a teasing element that is absolutely necessary to any true burlesque show - (nowadays) if viewers wanted to see a woman strip they would go to a strip club, not a burlesque show.
