Folan / Aprilia RS 125 Supermono racer

Starting up the 2008 Folan/Aprilia Supermono racing motorcycle for the first time. The bike is built at the Folan factory to compete in the Dutch ONK supermono championship.

Nice.. What engine does it have?

It's a 450cc engine from the Swedish manufacturer Folan Engineering. Some specs:

- bxs; 60x98 mm (450cc)

- 4-valve DOHC

- Compr. ratio 1:11,5

- Dry clutch, 6 plates

- Dry sump

- 6 gear close-ratio gearbox

- Full programmable injection/ignition

Power is currently unknown. Estimated goal is 60+ bhp @ rearwheel.

Bore and stroke are backwards. It should rev to 12000 no problem.

great sounding motor. what is the weight of the bike?

that should be easy reachable with those specs, although the stroke is on the long side of things, so revs won't be that high. should be easy ridable nevertheless, maybe a 5speed would be more in its place, but only if you are realy going for a low weight
