  • We've personally had great success with our Dragon Face Pipefish, one of the two eats frozen out of the water column. 90 per cent of the food we feed the tank is frozen including a homemade seafood mix (with EFAs) including cyclopeeze, enriched brine and mysis as well as octopus, shrimp, etc...

  • Have you had any luck breedign them? I am in the process of cycling a 75gal tank that I intend to be a seagrass macro tank. I am hopping to do several species of pipefish with the intent of breeding and these are definatly on the top of my list.

  • Sorry, I didn't address breeding - we keep ours in our display tank, I haven't witnessed either carrying eggs, they may be the same sex. I haven't pursued breeding them.

  • dragonface pipe fish can be in higher then normal flow right? because im setting up a small species only tank for seahorses and maybe some pipe fish but i heard that dragonface pipefish can be in a reef type setting with high flow so i was hoping to put them into my 125 gallon mixed reef display.

  • What unusual fish.

  • Great video, the Pipe fish are amazing. What LFS did you get them from, I'm looking for a couple for my 240 DT? Thanks
