Last Saturday August 28, 2010, I met an activist against illegal immigration when I was on my way to the Glenn Beck's rally in DC. This man expressed his opinion about undocumented immigrants which I respect, but it seems that his views are a reflect of bad personal experiences with racist immigrants.
In this video I have included also the opinion of African American leaders who support Immigration Reform, including Van Jones of the Center For American Progress, Rev. Jesse Jackson of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, Cheryl Contee of Jack and Jill Politics, Daryle Lamont Jenkins of One Peoples Project, and Ajamu Baraka of the U.S. Human Rights Network.
At the end of the video I included the honest and empowering opinion of a union organizer who was passing by the Glenn Beck's rally.

  • A Black Republican in the first sketch...what a sell out. The Second Guy...the Bryant Gumble looking guy was back and fourth in his convo.

The Problem in america...isn't immigration. The Problem in America is Class warefare. Poor people of all colors don't realise they're poor. We all lack skills we all lack job security even if you're wealthy making 100Grand a Year...if you lose ur job where will you live? America needs Political, and Society Reform.

  • @blacksocialist Great comment, thank you.

  • I'm a African who lives here in America (African American). This country was build upon the immigration law...by force. We don't run the country but we do make this country run. For a people to come and take a land and say to the indigenous people that you are illegal is wrong. History states that the people that you call MEXICANS (who are Indians) have been in ALL of AMERICA (North and South) long before any settler who set their foot on the AMERICAN shores. HISTORY never lies.

  • im against any mass immigration. companies r using immigrant labor against native born this is a fact not just in the usa but in mexico, central america, south america, middle east, africa, europe and asia. until the global issue as in poor people looking for a better chance revoliting against their corrupt govts and have self determination then this problem will continue. i dont blame immigrants for wanting to better their life, i blame them 4 not fighting in their country of origin.

  • The coming second great depression is going to resolve the illegal immigration problem. A NATO v. Iran/Syria mini world war is imminent that will accelerate the world's soverign debit crisises. In the coming decades when unemployment exceeds 25%, millions of illegals will have to return home for lack of jobs. If they go now, they have the chance to find a job and weather the crisis. If they stay, there will be nothing here for them and nothing for them when they have to return home anyway.

  • I AGREE WITH THEM 100% AND I AM A BLACK AMERICAN.

  • 1. 2.5 percent—The percentage of Alabama’s population that is undocumented.

    2. $40 million—A conservative estimate of how much Alabama’s economy would contract if only 10,000 undocumented immigrants stopped working in the state as a result of H.B. 56.

    3. $130 million—The amount Alabama’s undocumented immigrants paid in taxes in 2010.

  • Thanks for contrasting opinions! :)

  • @RGOC2012 First of all its couch not coach and second of all we blacks don't have nothing against mexicans, we're just tired of being passed over for work in our job related fields because illegals are willing to work for dirt cheap

and no we don't have a master and we are lazy. Telling us to get off the couch is stereotype just as if I was ignorant to say "All mexicans are in the drug cartel"
